Trainfolio uses real-time feeds to track current departures, platform assignments, delay minutes, cancellation reasons, and carriage/unit formations. However, live railway data can occasionally be delayed, corrected, incomplete, or unavailable from the central systems. Always cross-reference with official station announcements, staff instructions, and train operator advice before making critical travel decisions.
You can search and check departure history boards for different stations up to August 2026. This allows you to verify historical connections, inspect train formations, and view exact departure and arrival timings for past services. To access historical boards: 1. Tap the History tab or go to Search. 2. Select the station and date (any date up to August 2026). 3. View historical records that correspond to your search query.
Logging a journey is simple and tactile: 1. Choose a station and check its live or historical boards, or enter a journey manually. 2. Log the exact train unit and carriage you travelled on (e.g. Class 800, Unit 800109). 3. Record all the stations you passed through or visited along the route. Your journey is saved in your personal rail passport with custom accents, forming a digital collection of your rail footprint.
The Stats tab provides an overview of your rail achievements and travel statistics. Here, you can check: - Total Mileage: The distance you've covered in miles. - Punctuality Rate: The percentage of your logged journeys that arrived on time or early. - Delay Breakdown: A summary of accumulated delays in minutes. - Operators & Classes: A breakdown of how many train operating companies and classes of rolling stock you have collected.
At the end of each year, Trainfolio compiles your logged journeys into an elegant Year-End Review. It summarizes your total journeys, miles travelled, top stations (presented in a station tag cloud), operator frequency, and punctuality logs. It also unlocks unique travel achievements (such as *Network Pioneer* or *Intercity Commuter*) depending on your patterns.
Trainfolio uses Apple and Google sign-in to authenticate your account and securely back up your records to Trainfolio Cloud. If you experience issues syncing: 1. Check that you are signed in to iCloud or Google Play Services on your device. 2. Verify that you have a stable internet connection. 3. If sync fails, check if an update is available in the App Store.
Your journey data is yours. If you want to delete your Trainfolio account and purge all records from Trainfolio Cloud: 1. Go to your Profile settings in the app. 2. Select "Delete Account". 3. Confirm your choice. All account tokens, journey logs, and friend connections will be permanently removed. You can also request data deletion or an export of your logs by emailing support@trainfolio.app.
Trainfolio is a personal travel logger and is not an official journey planner, ticket, safety system, or disruption authority. Always prioritize station alerts, train operator announcements, National Rail notices, and staff instructions before travelling.
